We are looking for a Wear Solutions Specialist who can identify opportunities, build trusted customer relationships, and help mining operations improve performance through innovative wear management solutions.

Your Mission

Help mining customers reduce wear-related failures, extend asset life, and improve operational performance while growing Castolin Eutectic’s Wear Solutions business across Northern Ontario. You will combine technical problem-solving with business development to create long-term customer partnerships that deliver measurable operational and financial results.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager – Wear Solutions, you will develop new business while expanding strategic customer relationships within mining and heavy industry. You will work directly with maintenance managers, reliability engineers, planners, procurement professionals, and operations teams to identify wear-related challenges and recommend engineered solutions including CDP Wearplate, CastoTube, CastoChrome, Castodur, LaserClad, maintenance welding solutions, and surface protection technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development: Identify and develop opportunities within mining and heavy industrial operations.

Customer Solutions: Evaluate wear challenges and recommend appropriate Castolin technologies and services.

Business Development: Generate new opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, site visits, and industry events.

Account Growth: Expand existing relationships through consultative and solution-based selling.

Pipeline Management: Maintain opportunities, quotations, and customer engagement activities within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Commercial Performance: Achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives while increasing market penetration.

Who You Are

You understand industrial operations and enjoy building relationships that create long-term value. You may currently be a Wear Specialist, Reliability Specialist, Maintenance Manager, Millwright, Mechanical Technologist, Technical Sales Representative, Welding Specialist, Engineer, or Business Development Professional within heavy industry.

What You Will Bring

5+ years of experience in mining, heavy industry, wear solutions, maintenance, reliability, welding, fabrication, industrial services, or technical sales.

Strong understanding of wear mechanisms and asset reliability challenges.

Experience engaging maintenance, engineering, reliability, and procurement teams.

Proven business development or account growth experience.

Mechanical aptitude and strong consultative communication skills.

Ability to travel throughout Northern Ontario (50–60%).

Competitive base salary: $90,000–$105,000, depending on experience.
