This position reports directly to the Mill Operations General Foreman.

What you will do:

- Ensure a safe work environment for all employees by maintaining compliance with all applicable safety requirements, leading by example, and promoting a proper safety attitude to all employees

- Comply with the Nutrien Allan Safety System and support this program as outlined in the Standards Manual of the Nutrien Allan Safety System to ensure that established Departmental, Divisional, and Corporate goals are met or surpassed

- Supervise and direct the shift operation of the mill and loadout to produce and load product that meets the quality and quantity standards

- Effectively contribute towards the administration of the collective bargaining agreements, to ensure consistency, fairness, and competitive business practices

- Establish an atmosphere for good human relations through excellent communication, and consistent and fair decisions on disciplinary and grievance problems

- Direct people to maximize efficiency of the mill operation while maintaining a consistent, fair, and safe work environment

- Meet Corporate and Divisional profit plans, by the effective and prudent utilization, control and protection of all assets and resources allocated to Mill operations, and by proper utilization and training of workforce resources

What you will bring:

- High School Diploma; a Post-secondary education is an asset

- Supervisory experience required, preferredin a unionized environment

- Must have good written and verbal communication skills

- Superior leadership skills are required

- A strong passion for safety

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to build a strong team

- Basic computer skills such as typing, working knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, and SharePoint

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Working Knowledge of the OH&S Regulations

- Potash milling experience considered an asset
