Our client is an established Canadian MGA, operating coast to coast. They offer a wide range of services in specialty, niche, and some program needs.

They are looking for an experienced Hospitality Underwriter to join their team and manage a team of underwriters while conducting hands-on underwriting of files.

This is a full-remote role in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Delegating the hospitality files to a team of underwriters
• Setting new business targets and supporting underwriters to achieve their goals
• Managing a book of business, handling complex files, and ensuring the profitability of the portfolio
• Being the subject matter expert for hospitality
• Coaching and providing market insights to brokers
• Negotiating coverage and premium rates with clients

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial line underwriting experience in hospitality
• 3+ years of mentoring and coaching experience
• CIP, FCIP, or CRM designation preferred
