Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Midtown Plaza Full-Time Security Guard (Operations) in Saskatoon. You will deliver high levels of customer service in a dynamic retail setting, monitor cameras and alarms, and respond promptly to emergencies.

The role includes proactive patrolling, incident reporting, and liaison with police, fire, and paramedics as needed. Qualifications include excellent written and verbal communication, strong observation and listening skills, and the ability to make rapid

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in a challenging retail environment.

• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches.
• De-escalate crisis situations and liaise with emergency personnel.
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers.
• Write clear and detailed reports (incident, emergency, liability, day-to-day).
• Provide first aid and medical response when required.
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities.

Midtown Plaza Fulltime Security Guard(Operations)

• Provide a high level of customer service in a challenging and dynamic retail environment
• Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with the site policies and procedures
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
• De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel, including; police, fire and paramedic resources
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
• Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reports
• Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities

Job Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong observational and active listening skills
• Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
• Must have a flexible schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well with others in order to achieve collective goals
• Ability to walk 20/30km and stairs
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
