Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Full-Time Retail Security Guard (Operations) in Canada. The role emphasizes customer service, monitoring of visitors and alarms, and prompt response to emergencies. You will perform proactive patrols, de-escalate crises, and report incidents, while coordinating with emergency services as required.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, situational awareness, and the ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. Relocation is not required.

• Ability to make immediate decisions in emergencies with minimal supervision.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, nights & weekends.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Authorized to legally work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of customer service in a dynamic retail environment.
• Monitor site, cameras, and alarms to enforce safety and access policies.
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies promptly.
• Conduct proactive patrols and address policy breaches.
• De-escalate crises and liaise with police, fire and paramedics as needed.
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers when required.
• Write clear incident and daily reports with detail.
• Provide first aid and medical response when necessary.
• Use radios and computer apps to communicate site activities.

Fulltime Retail Security Guard(Operations)

• Provide a high level of customer service in a challenging and dynamic retail environment
• Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with the site policies and procedures
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
• De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel, including; police, fire and paramedic resources
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
• Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reports
• Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities

Job Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
• Must have a flexible schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends)
