Northern Health is seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team in Terrace, BC. The role involves decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, testing, and distribution of surgical supplies within a hospital setting.

Under supervision, you will perform related clerical duties and maintain accurate records, contributing to efficient patient care and safety. Shift rotation includes days and evenings in a hospital environment.

Competenze

• Grade 12 and completion of a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing course.
• One year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Mansioni

Position Summary

Are you a registered Medical Device Reprocessing Technician looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to Northern Health.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs a series of detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments for various areas of the hospital; and performs related clerical duties and record keeping.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Days, Evenings - 09:00 to 17:00, 11:00 to 19:00, Rotating

Qualfications

• Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing course, plus one (1) year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate and deal effectively with others.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
