Northern Health is seeking a Biomedical Engineering Technologist to evaluate new medical equipment, ensure safety, repair devices, and perform inspections across Northern Health facilities. The role supports clinical staff with technical information and training in a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will report to the Biomedical Engineering Lead, travel as needed within Northern Health, and must meet BC registration eligibility.

We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Biomedical Engineering department. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Biomedical Engineering Lead or designate, the Biomedical Engineering Technologist provides services in the facility they work from and travels throughout Northern Health to provide a variety of technical functions related to the Biomedical Engineering Program. These functions include evaluating new equipment, ensuring the safety of medical equipment, repairing equipment, performing scheduled inspections and tests, maintaining related records and providing clinical staff with educational support and technical information. They report to a lead technology and work in collaboration with colleagues in Biomed and ITS to provide service to Northern Health staff (the end users).
