Job description

Craneium Inc, a designer of large overhead crane refurbishments, is expanding and has an immediate requirement for a mechanical draftsperson with experience drafting mechanical and structural components. This is an hourly position with a comprehensive benefits package and potential for overtime, depending on workload.

Responsibilities

• Draft mechanical and structural components using 2D AutoCAD
• Conduct site visits across Western Canada to measure existing equipment
• Translate field measurements into accurate technical drawings
• Collaborate closely with our design and engineering team

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with 2D AutoCAD
• Ability to configure AutoCAD to meet diverse client standards
• Proficient in using various measurement tools
• Comfortable working at heights
• Strong skills in Microsoft 365 and professional writing
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team

Assets

• Knowledge of CWB welded joints and symbols
• Ability to update electrical redline drawings
