Job summary

Fountain Tire Regina is recruiting a skilled Mechanic apprentice to diagnose vehicle issues, perform repairs, and conduct maintenance to manufacturer's standards. You will communicate with customers about repairs and future needs while maintaining safety and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be in at least the 2nd year of an automotive service apprenticeship.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and ability to service vehicles.

Responsibilities

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

What does it take to get on track?

• Must be at least a 2nd year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to be considered
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
