Job summary

SHERWOOD COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION LIMITED in Indian Head, Saskatchewan seeks a full-time Meat Department Manager with 3–5 years of supervisory experience. You will manage procurement, receiving and warehousing, uphold brand standards, and drive sales while controlling costs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to brand, merchandising, safety, asset protection, and inventory standards while managing procurement, receiving, and warehousing processes.
  • Prepare and administer budgets, pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory to achieve business goals.
  • Lead pricing, promotions, product recommendations, and store standards to drive sales and profitability.
  • Oversee customer service, daily operations, ordering, receiving, inventory management, and merchandising activities.
  • Foster a positive work environment and build a strong culture of team engagement.
  • Lead talent development, coaching, and performance management for the meat department.
  • Provide leadership and direction while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and support team members to achieve success.
  • Mentor employees and deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Extensive knowledge of meat department products with 35 years of meat department management experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, and Excel); able to adapt to new technology.
