Job summary

Express Employment Professionals Guelph is recruiting on behalf of our client in Guelph for 2 Material Handlers to join their team. This evaluation-to-hire opportunity offers a Monday–Friday day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM at $19/hour, with reliable transportation required as the location is not on a direct bus route.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ months forklift/reach truck experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to thrive in a GMP food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of forklift/reach truck experience.
• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Forklift certification is not required—the client will provide recertification.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
• Stage materials for QC inspection.
• Put away and store materials in the proper locations.
• Complete receiving documentation.
• Report any non-conformances.
• Pick materials and keep production lines stocked.
• Replenish materials as needed.
• Maintain daily sanitation standards.
• Follow all safety, GMP, and SQF requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Role

We are looking for reliable candidates with6+ months of forklift/reach truck experience to support receiving, material handling, and production line replenishment in a fast-pacedGMP food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials
• Stage materials for QC inspection
• Put away and store materials in the proper locations

• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation standards

Important Food Safety Requirements

This is aGMP-regulated food manufacturing environment, and candidates must be comfortable following strict food safety and hygiene requirements.

• PPE must be wornfor the entirety of the shift, includinggloves, masks, hairnets, coats, and safety shoes
• No jewelry is permitted
• No false/artificial nails or nail enhancements are permitted
• No false eyelashes are permitted
• Candidates must be comfortable following all food safety, sanitation, and GMP procedures
