Job summary

Grand River Personnel is seeking an entry-level Material Handler (Shipping/Receiving) in KITCHENER with a valid Counter Balance Forklift license. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, with Pay Rate $17.95/hr plus 4% vacation pay weekly.

Responsibilities include forklift movement, shipping docs, coordinating with transport, cycle counts, and general warehouse duties. Requires 3 months forklift experience, ability to lift 25 kg, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Clear communication in English.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Experience with a counter balanced forklift preferred (minimum 3 months).
• Experience in warehouse/manufacturing setting is required.

Responsibilities

• 20% Forklift duties, 80% other duties throughout warehouse.
• Move stock throughout warehouse using Counter Balance Forklift (must have valid license – in-house license is not a valid license).
• Prepare and process shipping documentation.
• Arrange pickups with transport companies, obtain freight quotes.
• Cycle counts, picking and packing.
• Organize yard and warehouse (keep orderly, remove debris/garbage, recycling, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting for an Material Handler (Shipping/Receiving) with a Valid Forklift license in KITCHENER.

Shift: Monday – Friday:7:00am – 3:00pm

Pay Rate: $17.95/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!

Responsibilities:

• 20% Forklift duties, 80% other duties throughout warehouse
• Move stock throughout warehouse using Counter Balance Forklift (must have valid license – “In-house” License is not a valid license)
• Prepare and process shipping documentation
• Arrange pick ups with transport companies, obtain freight quotes

Requirements:

• Valid Counter balance Forklift License. (In house certifications are not acceptable for this role)
• Minimum 3 months experience on Counter Balanced Forklift
• Ability to lift 25kg safely and consistently (this is not just a Forklift Operator role)
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting needed
• Comfortable moving for majority of shift
• CSA Approved Footwear
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Reliable, punctual and dependable
