Job summary

Express Employment Professionals (Mississauga South) is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator / Material Handler for a day shift in Etobicoke, ON. This temporary position offers potential to transition to permanent based on performance and business need.

You'll operate counterbalance and Raymond Reach forklifts, move materials through a busy production environment, and support inventory control while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of forklift experience (Counterbalance and Raymond Reach).
• Valid forklift certification (required).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Comfortable working full-time afternoon/night hours.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance and Raymond Reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Move materials and products throughout the facility to support production.
• Pick, pack, and organize inventory in designated locations.
• Load and unload trucks, vans, and flatbed trailers.
• Use material handling equipment such as tuggers and pump trucks.
• Support production timelines by ensuring materials are where they need to be.
• Perform general warehouse duties (≈80% manual, 20% forklift work).

Our client, a reputable manufacturer in Etobicoke, is seeking experienced Forklift Operators / Material Handlers to support a busy production environment. This is a great opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy a mix of equipment operation and hands-on work, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate counterbalance and Raymond reach forklifts safely and efficiently
• Move materials and products throughout the facility to support production
