Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Material Handler in Mississauga, Ontario. This temporary-to-permanent role focuses on forklift-assisted material movement within a busy distribution environment.

Your duties include order picking, loading/unloading, and inventory tasks in a safety-conscious setting. The ideal candidate holds certified forklift experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay active throughout shifts on the Day schedule.

Qualifications

• Certified on Raymond Reach, Counterbalance, and Order Picker forklifts.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating all listed equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Enjoys varied responsibilities and staying physically active.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders using pick sheets and RF scanners.
• Operate Raymond Reach, Order Picker, and Counterbalance forklifts (approximately 20% of the role).
• Load and unload containers.
• Complete inventory putaways and cycle counts.
• Assist with receiving and shipping.
• Label products accurately.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Support supervisors and managers with additional warehouse duties as required.

Our client, a well-established distribution organization in Mississauga, is currently seeking a skilled Material Handler to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. If you're a certified forklift operator with hands-on experience and enjoy staying active while working through a variety of warehouse tasks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
