This position is for a Marketing Coordinator in Toronto, Ontario.

The Retail Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing initiatives that drive traffic, engagement, awareness and sales across the retail portfolio. Working closely with property management, leasing, tenants and external agencies, this role helps bring each shopping centre’s brand, events and marketing strategy to life. The successful candidate is highly organized, creative and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of retail marketing and the customer experience. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, coordinating campaigns and events, developing engaging marketing materials and tracking results to understand what is working. You bring energy, initiative and a collaborative approach, while being equally comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects.

Retail Marketing & Communications
  • Coordinate and execute marketing plans and initiatives for assigned retail properties.
  • Support the development and implementation of campaigns designed to drive traffic, engagement, tenant sales and overall centre awareness.
  • Coordinate seasonal campaigns, promotions, events, activations and community initiatives.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing materials including digital and print advertising, social media content, e-blasts, newsletters, posters, signage, tenant communications and promotional materials.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, marketing plans and promotional materials for property management and ownership.
  • Coordinate content for property websites, social media channels and other digital platforms.
  • Maintain consistent brand standards across all marketing communications and centre materials.
  • Coordinate relationships with external agencies, vendors, photographers, designers and other marketing partners as required.
  • Support tenant marketing initiatives and provide guidance and resources to help tenants maximize promotional opportunities.
  • Assist with tenant communications and engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and maintain marketing calendars, campaign schedules and key deadlines.
  • Track marketing activity, budgets and campaign results and provide regular reporting and analysis.
  • Research retail trends, consumer behaviour, competitor activity and emerging marketing opportunities.
  • Support initiatives designed to enhance the customer experience and increase dwell time and visitation.
  • Carry out other marketing duties and projects as assigned.
Event & Centre Activation
  • Assist with planning, coordinating and executing centre events, promotions and customer activations.
  • Coordinate event logistics including vendors, permits, signage, entertainment, promotional materials and on-site requirements.
  • Work with tenants and community partners to create engaging centre experiences.
  • Support promotional campaigns and activations that generate customer engagement and social media exposure.
  • Measure and report on event and campaign performance, including attendance, engagement and other relevant KPIs.
Research & Analysis
  • Conduct market and consumer research to support marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitor retail, consumer and marketing trends and identify opportunities relevant to the portfolio.
  • Research competitor centres, retailers and local market activity.
  • Track campaign performance, social media engagement, website activity, traffic and other relevant metrics.
  • Prepare marketing reports and provide insights and recommendations based on campaign results.
What You’ll Bring
  • 2–3 years of experience in retail marketing, property marketing, events, communications or a related field.
  • Experience in a retail, commercial real estate or consumer-focused environment is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media and traditional marketing channels.
  • Experience coordinating marketing campaigns, events and activations from planning through execution.
  • Strong creative skills with experience developing marketing materials and presentations.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other design and content creation platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of quality.
  • Ability to analyze marketing results and translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with tenants, property teams, agencies, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Creative, proactive and solutions-oriented with a willingness to take initiative.

Area/Location Specific: Toronto, ON Approximate Salary Range for Role: $58,963 - $70,000 Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
