Job summary

Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. in Owen Sound, Ontario, is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our head office marketing efforts in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

You will strategize and execute marketing initiatives, oversee content creation across videos, ads, blogs and social channels, and collaborate with Sales and other departments to drive growth while managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in Marketing with 3-5 years’ experience.
  • Experience collaborating with Sales Teams.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at a given time.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding of graphic design tools, but hands-on experience with these tools is not required.
  • Experience in B2B marketing preferred.
  • Experience managing a small team is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of the company's marketing strategy with the direction of the Director of Marketing.
  • Assist Marketing Director in overseeing content creation directing production of videos, advertisements, flyers, banners, blogs, social media posts and other supporting marketing collateral
  • Accountable for assisting the Sales leadership team with driving sales and growth by creating and executing effective marketing campaigns, managing budgets, and analyzing market trends.
  • Leads the completion of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) for all lines of business managing the library of response files and tracking all completed documents
  • Develop and maintain a trained and motivated marketing team that results in attainment of the company's marketing objectives and commitments.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating operating policies and procedures within the marketing function
  • Responsible for keeping current and ensuring that marketing policies and practices and products adhere to Federal and Provincial legislation.
  • Work closely with General Managers of other departments to ensure goals and targets align with the overall business objectives and strategies.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to create communications to educate and motivate the internal workforce. This includes managing a quarterly internal newsletter, regular html communications, social media posts highlighting our workforce etc.
