We're looking for a Senior Market Research Analyst to join our client's dynamic team. This role is crucial in helping their organization understand consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes, enabling them to design effective action plans that drive business growth.

Projects will leverage qualitative, quantitative, AI, and online research data to provide comprehensive support to various departments and functions within the business. For this role, our client is prioritizing the search for someone who is strong with Quantitative research.

Our client's market research team is an ideal fit for a self-driven and curious individual with a rigorous work ethic and collaborative mindset, seeking to make a long-term impact on a well-established company.

This opportunity requires the talent to work onsite at our client's office in Mississauga at least 1 day per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly understand the functioning of internal data systems and maintain databases.
  • Design, lead, and conduct primary and secondary market research to uncover consumer requirements, habits, and trends.
  • Collect data on consumers, competitors, and the marketplace, consolidating information into actionable insights, reports, and presentations.
  • Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data using tabulation tools (e.g., Excel, Q-tool equivalents).
  • Interpret data, formulate reports, make recommendations, and develop action plans.
  • Utilize AI for secondary online research to gather and catalog findings, derive insights, and design recommendations.
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identifying market trends, pricing/business models, sales, and methods of operation.
  • Leverage a strong understanding of consumer trends, technology trends, competitive experiences, and best-in-class experiences to map the consumer journey and identify opportunities to enhance the consumer experience.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address quick-turnaround requests.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and corporate information, discussing it only with appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success and experience in relevant fields such as market research, journey mapping, and project management.
  • Ability to gather and interpret large amounts of secondary and primary data, and to multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of research methodologies, database management, and business research tools.
  • Comfort working with AI tools (ChatGPT is a plus)
  • Familiarity with CRM programs is a plus.
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.).
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Skilled at independent project management and highly organized.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; work collaboratively with cross-functional teams; and ensure high-quality deliverables with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated prioritization ability, solution-oriented, and resilient with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
