Job summary

Colonial Group in Ontario seeks an Operations Leader to establish and execute manufacturing strategy, ensure safety compliance, and provide direction in daily operations.

You will drive lean initiatives, improve productivity and quality, develop a multi-functional workforce, and lead Production Supervisors while maintaining a strong safety culture. This role requires excellent communication and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of direct leadership experience is required.
• Experience in a Unionized environment is required; contract negotiations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production resources to meet KPIs.
• Establish manufacturing strategy supporting overall initiatives.
• Drive lean manufacturing and process improvements.
• Ensure safety compliance and a clean, safe working environment.
• Develop and maintain a motivated, multi-functional workforce.
• Adjust work schedules to meet operational needs.
