Job summary

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the Maintenance Team in Edmonton. You will perform quick lube services, minor repairs, and routine tasks to keep tractors in safe, reliable condition.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to checklists, and flexibility to assist other departments as needed within a busy shop environment. A valid driver's license and mechanical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid G/Class 5 driver’s license.
• Minimum Grade 12 required or enrolled in a High School Apprenticeship Program.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform manual labour.
• Able to work independently and adapt to varying tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quick lube services and minor mechanical repairs.
• Carry out tractor detailing and decal removal.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly checklists and maintain shop/yard cleanliness.
• Assist in other departments as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Maintenance Assistant works within the Maintenance Team and is responsible for performing quick lube services as well as minor mechanical repairs and other duties in an efficient and timely manner. The Maintenance Assistant is expected to be a team player in the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities include:

• Quick lube program
• Minor repairs
• Tractor detailing, sanitization
• Decal removal
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly checklists
• General shop/yard clean up
• Customer and internal DPF filter cleaning
• Assistance in the other departments as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid G/Class 5 driver’s license
• Minimum Grade 12 required or enrolled in a High School Apprenticeship Program
• Must have mechanical aptitude
• Able to perform manual labour

Shift and location:

• Monday to Friday from 07:00-15:30
• Edmonton - 80 Liberty Road, Sherwood Park, AB
