Bison Transport Inc in Balzac, AB is seeking a Licensed Trailer Technician to work with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Mechanics, and fellow technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the fleet, diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action.

This role requires a Journeyman Technician or Red Seal, with experience in safety inspections and ability to enter work orders on computers; the position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, 4x10s

Qualifications

• Journeyman Technician or Red Seal certification required.
• Experience with safety inspections is an asset.
• Ability to diagnose, plan and document repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet.
• Diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe remedial action.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator and other technicians to complete tasks efficiently.

The Licensed Trailer Technician will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Mechanics, and the other Trailer Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.

Qualifications:

A certified Journeyman Technician or a Red Seal Mechanic Demonstrated diagnosing and time‑management abilities will be key to your success in this position Previous experience and qualification to perform Safety inspections are considered an asset, ability to obtain CVIP is mandatory Experience using computers to enter work orders May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less

Location and shift:

North Shop - Balzac, AB. 4x10s evening shift Monday-Thursday, hours are from 16:00-2:30
