Job summary

Bison Transport is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the Maintenance Team in Calgary. The role performs quick lube services, minor repairs, and related duties in a fast-paced shop environment. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on safety, efficiency, and high service standards.

Applicants should have a G/Class 5 license, Grade 12 or in HS Apprenticeship, and strong mechanical and organizational skills. The job offers apprenticeship support and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid G/Class 5 driver’s license.
• Minimum Grade 12 or enrolment in HS Apprenticeship.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform manual labour.
• Able to work independently and adapt to tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quick lube services and minor mechanical repairs.
• Tractor detailing and sanitization.
• Decal removal and checklists (daily/weekly/monthly).
• General shop/yard cleanup and maintenance.
• Customer and internal DPF filter cleaning.
• Assist other departments as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Location: South Shop Shift: Monday to Thursday from 17:30-4:00 The Maintenance Assistant works within the Maintenance Team and is responsible for performing quick lube services as well as minor mechanical repairs and other duties in an efficient and timely manner. The Maintenance Assistant is expected to be a team player in the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities include:

• Quick lube program
• Minor repairs
• Tractor detailing, sanitization
• Decal removal
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly checklists
• General shop/yard clean up
• Customer and internal DPF filter cleaning
• Assistance in the other departments as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
