Bison Transport is seeking a Licensed Trailer Technician in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, and repair the fleet under the guidance of the Service Coordinator and fellow mechanics.
The ideal candidate is a certified Journeyman Technician or Red Seal Mechanic with safety inspection experience and the ability to obtain CVIP. Proficiency with CMMS and entering work orders is valued; 4x10 schedule with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for licensed technicians.
*** $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS *** The Licensed Trailer Technician will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Mechanics, and the other Trailer Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. Qualifications: A certified Journeyman Technician or a Red Seal Mechanic Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities will be key to your success in this position Previous experience and qualification to perform Safety inspections are considered an asset, ability to obtain CVIP is mandatory Experience using computers to enter work orders May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less Please note this position is permanent full-time and subject to a 4x10s (either Monday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Friday; depending on availability at the time of offer), hours of work are from 17:00-03:30.
