Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Maintenance Aide to ensure our residence, equipment, and grounds meet high safety and quality standards. You will perform hands-on maintenance, respond to requests, and assist with new resident suites to create a comfortable home for residents.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and customer service, with opportunities for growth within a welcoming, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent experience.
• Maintenance experience and ability to use equipment safely.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with staff, residents, and vendors.
• Organized and able to keep work areas safe, clean, and efficient.

Responsibilities

Additional Requirements

• Ability to perform frequent physical duties including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting tools or equipment
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
