Job summary

Triple M Metal LP is hiring a 310T Certified Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic units on fleet trucks and trailers. The role requires working nights, maintaining safety standards and documenting work performed.

Candidates should have their own tools and be able to troubleshoot complex systems; drive on program and safety experience are a plus. Training and growth opportunities are offered at our Brampton facility.

Qualifications

• Valid 310T Truck and Coach Certification.
• Have your own tools.
• Mathematically inclined.
• Nice to have: Drive on Program experience.
• Nice to have: experience with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service and repair electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, steering, brakes and hydraulics.
• Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment and determine repair extent.
• Maintain and overhaul diesel engines and hydraulic/pneumatic systems as required.
• Complete maintenance and timely reports; ensure a safe, orderly work environment.

The 310T Truck and Coach Certified Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing and replacing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic units, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repairing, replacing, testing and adjusting units to specifications to ensure fleet trucks, trailers and equipment meet established operational and safety standards. Shift:

• Monday to Friday 9:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.

What we expect you to do:

• Troubleshoot, service and repair/replace the following: Electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, steering and suspension, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel and emission systems, cooling and heating systems, perform maintenance as per assigned work order.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• Service, maintenance and/or overhaul diesel engines, mechanical and hydraulic transmissions.
• Service, maintenance and/or overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatics systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

You have:

• Valid 310T Truck and Coach Certification
• Have your own tools
• Mathematically inclined

• Has experience writing safety’s
