Job summary

Triple M Metal LP in Brampton, Ontario, a leading North American scrap metal recycler, is hiring an Industrial Mechanic Millwright to maintain and service factory machinery.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and test mechanical and hydraulic systems; 433A certification and 5+ years experience required; strong communication and safety focus; attractive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) certification.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, repair and test industrial machinery and components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid G License is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, repair, replace and test industrial machinery, mechanical equipment and components.
• Record all work performed and equipment malfunctions and provide detailed reports to Operations Manager.
• Create work orders and safety/service checklists.
• Maintain clean and orderly working environment and return unused parts/tools.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and environmental policies.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

The Millwright role is responsible for the maintenance of industrial machinery, mechanical equipment and components, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, lubrications, cooling, and exhaust systems, pumps, fans, tanks, conveyers, presses, generators and pneumatic and hydraulic controls. What’s Expected:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, repair, replace and test industrial machinery, mechanical equipment and components, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, lubrications, cooling, and exhaust systems, pumps, fans, tanks, conveyers, presses, generators and pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
• Records all work performed, and equipment malfunctions and defects and provides detailed reports to Operations Manager in accordance with departmental procedures

  • Cleans work area of slip and trip hazards
  • Returns all unused parts to parts department
  • Returns all company owned tools to tool crib
  • Performs general housekeeping of assigned workstation

• Carries out responsibilities in compliance with the provisions of the governing Occupational Health and Safety legislation and its regulations.
• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Quality and Environmental policies, procedures and objectives.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

You have:

• A valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) certification.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role and environment.
• Excellent knowledge and proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, repair, replace and test industrial machinery, and mechanical equipment and components.
• A proven ability to demonstrate professional communication skills (verbal/written) with a positive attitude.
• Valid G License is an asset.
