Job summary

Triple M Metal LP is seeking a Nights Maintenance Technician (310T Certified) in Brampton, Canada. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining truck and highway equipment to meet safety standards and operational requirements.

You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and diesel systems, perform maintenance, complete paperwork, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment. Shift is nights with premium pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid 310T Truck & Coach Certification.
• Have your own tools.
• Mathematically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service and repair/replace electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, steering and suspension, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel and emission systems, cooling and heating systems as per work orders.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults using computerized and other testing equipment to determine repair scope.
• Service, maintenance and/or overhaul diesel engines, mechanical and hydraulic transmissions.
• Service, maintenance and/or overhaul hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Complete reports of problems and work performed; maintain a safe working environment.

The 310T Truck and Coach Certified Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing and replacing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic units, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repairing, replacing, testing and adjusting units to specifications to ensure fleet trucks, trailers and equipment meet established operational and safety standards. Shift:

• Monday to Friday 9:30 p.m. - 6:0 a.m.

What we expect you to do:

• Troubleshoot, service and repair/replace the following: Electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, steering and suspension, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel and emission systems, cooling and heating systems, perform maintenance as per assigned work order.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• Service, maintenance and/or overhaul diesel engines, mechanical and hydraulic transmissions.
• Service, maintenance and/or overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatics systems.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
