Job summary

Tricon is seeking two Door Person roles at The James, a luxury rental community in Toronto. You will create a welcoming arrival experience for residents and guests, blending hospitality with building operations.

Ideal candidates have hospitality or luxury residential experience, strong communication and discretion, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or luxury residential environments preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Able to stay composed in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
• Good situational awareness; can manage multiple priorities.
• Familiar with building systems and access control/communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Proactively greet residents and guests at the building entrance.
• Open doors and assist residents on arrival; provide a seamless, elevated arrival experience.
• Deliver a warm, professional welcome and anticipate resident needs.
• Provide runner services and assist with local errands and packages.
• Support Concierge and Service Coordinator teams with discretion and care.
• Maintain a safe, organized entrance and manage the flow of residents, guests, vendors.
• Support Concierge operations during peak periods and coverage gaps.
• Maintain front-of-house presence and monitor access points.
