Job summary

Park Hyatt Toronto is seeking a Door Attendant to greet guests, assist with luggage, and guide arrivals and departures with a welcoming, professional presence. You will open doors, hail taxis, and help with bags, while maintaining a spotless lobby and front drive in accordance with Hyatt standards.

Candidates should have a service-focused mindset, luxury hospitality experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Qualifications

• Service focused personality is essential.
• Previous fine dining or luxury level service knowledge and training.
• Minimum 2 year previous work experience in a world-class luxury brand in a similar capacity.
• Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and quality driven.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Constant walking & standing.
• Must have a lift up to 50-lbs.
• Frequent lifting, crouching/bending/stooping/kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Attend to all guests entering and exiting the lobby, promptly and professionally.
• Assist with all guest luggage.
• Educate guests about hotel property and amenities, using the tools and training provided
• Be knowledgeable of surrounding region, services and amenities, in order to handle concierge inquiries accurately
• Manage the front drive efficiently and effectively and in line with established standards
• Valet park vehicles in a safe manner and in line with established standards
• Maintain the proper physical appearance of the front drive, entrance, and lobby, communicating with housekeeping and maintenance departments as required
• Educate guests about hotel property and amenities.
• Maintain professional presence in the lobby area when between tasks.
• Maintain the drive by clearing sidewalks and driveways of garbage, snow, gravel and any other debris.
• Perform other assigned comparable or transient duties that are within the domain of knowledge and skills required by the position description.
