Job summary

RONA in Moncton, NB is seeking a Lumberyard Associate to support customers with building material selections and loading assistance. You will help customers, verify invoices, and maintain organized stock while upholding safety standards in a busy yard environment.

• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice for lumber and building materials.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with daily upkeep of the department (unloading trucks, organizing stock, pricing).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for staff and customers.
• Handle opening and closing duties when needed in the Yard.
• Perform other tasks to ensure smooth store operations.

Your role:

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
