Job summary

RONA in Surrey, BC is hiring a Lumberyard Associate to provide expert advice on lumber and building materials and to help load products safely for customers.

You will check invoices, maintain stock, unload trucks, and keep the yard organized and safe. A knowledge of building materials is a plus; candidates must be able to lift 25 pounds and work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Provide customers with expert advice on lumber and building materials.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
