Job summary

RONA in Ontario seeks a dedicated lumberyard team member to provide expert customer advice on lumber and building materials. You will assist with loading, check invoices, and help with daily upkeep of the department, including unloading trucks, organizing stock, and maintaining pallets.

A safe, clean work environment and teamwork are emphasized. Candidates should be able to lift 25 pounds and have knowledge of building materials.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
