Job summary

RONA in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a dedicated lumberyard associate to help customers with building material needs, load products safely, and keep the yard organized.

You will open/close duties as needed, check invoices, maintain stock, and contribute to a safe, friendly shopping experience. The store offers inclusive culture, benefits, employee discounts, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with daily upkeep of the department including unloading trucks and stocking pallets.

Your role:

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs


• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently


• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided


• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers


• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard


• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly

What we're looking for:

• Ability to lift 25 pounds


• Knowledge of building materials is an asset
