Job summary

RONA is seeking a lumberyard team member to provide expert customer assistance for lumber and building materials. You will help customers load product safely, verify invoices, and maintain an organized yard with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role involves everyday duties from loading, stocking, pricing, and keeping pallets tidy, to helping ensure a positive customer experience in a busy store environment. Commitment to teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
