Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer in Nanaimo, BC. The role involves undercover presence on the sales floor, discreet observations to prevent theft, and professional interaction with customers, staff and law enforcement as needed.

You will conduct security audits of facilities, perform arrests and product recoveries, and document all evidence with clear reports. A BC Security Worker’s Licence and reliable transport are required, with willingness to travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Nanaimo stores.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong verbal and written communication; work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain undercover, plain-clothes presence on the sales floor.
• Conduct discreet observations to identify theft, fraud or mischief.

• Conduct arrests, ask-to-pay, and product recoveries as needed.
• Document evidence and write clear, concise reports.
