Save-On-Foods on Vancouver Island, BC is seeking a Protective Services Guard to help keep customers and teammates safe. You will patrol, monitor activity, respond to incidents, and support store operations with a professional, courteous approach.

The role requires a valid BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement. Candidates should have solid judgment, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Training and benefits are provided, with weekly pay.

Responsibilities

• Identifying theft, mischief, and fraud.
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
• Observing, meeting and greeting customers.
• Approaching situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
• Conducting security audits of the building and assets.
• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

Qualifications

• A valid BC Security Worker's Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Solid decision-making skills with the ability to make quick decisions under difficult circumstances.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).

IND7 Compensation Details: $20.00 - $26.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
