Job summary

Pattison Food Group in Winnipeg, MB is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer responsible for undercover observations, identifying theft, fraud, and risks while blending into the store environment. You will protect assets and ensure safety of team members and customers.

The role requires a valid MB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement, strong communication, discretion, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you’ll work undercover in plain clothes on the sales floor, blending into the store environment to conduct discreet observations, identify risks, and help prevent loss and protect company assets. You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining an undercover, plain-clothes presence on the sales floor while blending into the store environment.
• Conducting discreet observations to identify and address potential theft, fraud, and mischief.
• Approaching situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
• Conducting security audits of the building and assets.
• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

You have:

• A valid MB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).
