A leading company in business consulting is seeking a logistics professional to oversee operations supporting large international airport projects. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in logistics management and a strong track record in stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include the effective implementation of logistics plans, risk identification, and team development. This full-time mid-senior level opportunity is based in Toronto, Canada.
* Implements the duties of the logistics position they are appointed into, which could include interface coordination, material delivery, traffic management, or laydown area coordination.
* Provides subject matter expertise, advice, and guidance with respect to relevant logistics matters across the program.
* Works collaboratively with the contractor to confirm that the measures set out in the agreed logistics plans are effectively implemented.
* Undertakes periodic assessments / audits, identifies opportunities for improvement, and recommends corrective actions.
* Provides management-level reporting and identifies key risks and issues for escalation to the appropriate decision-makers.
* Coaches, mentors, and supports the career development of GTAA staff.
* Typically, a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a relevant logistics role, which could include interface coordination, material delivery, traffic management, or laydown area coordination.
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs is considered an asset.
* Demonstrable experience in logistics, including interface coordination, material delivery, traffic management, or laydown area coordination.
* Strong technical capability across all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance, preferably in large programs/projects.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including facilitating meetings/workshops with large groups of stakeholders.
* Recognized degree and professional designation are considered assets.
