Job summary

Fastfrate in Edmonton is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate drivers from pickup to delivery and keep internal teams informed. You will represent the company professionally, handle challenging situations, and support continuous improvement within a unionized environment.

The role requires on-site work with standard hours (Mon–Fri, 9:30am–6:00pm) and a focus on safety, customer service, and collaborative problem-solving across Planning and Customer Service teams at 10020-56th Avenue, Edmonton AB.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years truckload dispatch experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience.
• Knowledge of North American transportation industry.
• ACE and Customs/border crossing experience an asset.
• Experience with EDM (or similar dispatch systems) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Communicate dispatch information to Drivers
• Monitor and respond to driver’s satellite messages
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Planning teams to solve problems
• Maintain fair and equitable distribution of work
• Monitor driver performance and miles
• Coach drivers regarding customs, hazmat, hours of service, policy, regulations, satellites
• Develop solutions for driver inquiries
• Update customer websites
• Communicate & problem solve with customers as required
• Other duties as assigned
