The Logistics Coordinator/Material Handler is responsible for managing the flow of materials and products within the organization. This role involves coordinating and optimizing logistics processes to ensure timely delivery and efficient handling of goods. Key responsibilities include inventory management, order processing, shipping and receiving, and maintaining accurate records. The Logistics Coordinator/Material Handler works closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to streamline operations and support the overall supply chain strategy.

This is a 100% onsite opportunity located at our Paris location at 3 Adi Dassler Way, Paris Ontario N3L 0B9. This will be a Monday through Friday opportunity 9AM – 5:30PM

When Your Actions Lead To Success

Logistics Coordinator (70%):

  • Attend daily production / shipping meetings;
  • Schedule shipments with courier(s) / LTL carriers for on-time delivery;
  • Prepare shipping documentation; BOL’s / Courier labels;
  • Provide reports on all PODs;
  • Prepare custom documentation accurately;
  • Understand HS Tariffs / Country Origin;
  • Work with PM’s / CSR to ensure custom info is provided;
  • Continually update PM’s / CSRs on Shipping activity;
  • Provide quotes in a timely manner;
  • Update freight costs in Pace;
  • Pull BOL’s or shipping labels from systems;
  • Make sure skids / packages are secure and ready to ship;
  • Make delivery appointments if necessary;
  • Make sure Carriers / Couriers are advised on pick up times and ready to ship when they arrive
  • Generate packing slips within ERP

Material Handler (30%):

  • Move raw materials and finished products between departments, maintaining the flow of production by using the forklift
  • Load, unload and move skids by using the forklift
  • Store materials in appropriate areas
  • Build boxes and crates that protect products during shipping
  • Scan and load packed crates and product onto shunt truck
  • Fulfill orders by packaging necessary materials and preparing them for shipment
  • Provide materials to packers as needed to prepare and pack finished product for shipment
  • Keep packaging area clean and tidy and free of clutter
  • Operate power tools such as chop saw, pneumatic nail guns and measuring equipment

When Your Expertise Drives Us

  • Minimum three (3) years related production experience along with a post-secondary education and knowledge of the digital print industry preferred;
  • Two to four years’ experience in a similar Logistics role; specifically in logistics operations and shipping and receiving;
  • A strong ability to evaluate and assist the department with cost effective logistic solutions to improve transportation costs;
  • Superior organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills;
  • Excellent communication, organization, conflict management and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong decision-making skills, while assertively balancing the needs of others;
  • Proactive thinker who demonstrates the ability to handle stress in a patient and controlled way;
  • Vision to see and understand the “big picture” in terms of work in process and consequences as a result of changing variables of the customers job requirements;
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, as required;
  • Experience with Management Information System “Pace” and/or Print Stream would be a strong asset;
  • “Get it done”, hands-on approach and attitude;
  • Must have active and in good standing Forklift License
  • Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience operating a forklift in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to problem-solve and thrive in challenging situations
  • Ability to work under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines and possess a sense of urgency
