Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking LOCAL Labourers within 1 hour range of Sudbury ON to join our team. The role involves performing labor duties, rigging, confined space work, and high-pressure water blasting, with training provided on the job.

You will operate with a focus on safety, support the operators, complete daily paperwork, and help prepare sites. Expect 10–14 hour shifts, day or night, and a robust safety program with PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Requires Class G driver's license and a clean 3-year driver’s abstract with no more than 3 demerits.
• Previous site experience is an asset.
• Must be willing to work in confined spaces and at heights performing labor-intensive tasks.
• Previous vacuum truck and/or high-pressure unit operating experience is an asset.
• Previous labor-intensive experience; safety tickets preferred (H2S Alive, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space Entry).
• Common Safety Orientation required prior to onboarding.
• Willing to work extended 10-14 hour shifts.
• Flexibility to work day or night shift as required.
• Mechanical background (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Assisting the Operators in the safe operation of all units.
• Ensuring the job site placement of the unit is safe, stable and secure.
• Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis.
• Rigging equipment in and out.
• General cleanup and maintenance of units upon completion of the job.
• Provides high levels of customer service with internal employees and external clients.
• Perform all basic tasks assigned to a laborer including using hand tools (shovel, rake, vacuum hose, and pressure washer), mastering equipment operation, assisting operators with all job duties.
• Pre/Post Trip inspections; performing field level risk assessments; setting up equipment, ensuring proper usage of equipment, performing general duties required to complete work (Debris removal, clean up, set up, etc.).

Clean Harbors is looking for LOCAL Labourers within 1 hour range from the city to join our team in Sudbury ON.

This position requires the candidate to safely perform labor tasks including, but not limited to - confined space entry working in vessels or tanks, rigging in and out, working at heights, high-pressure water blasting up to 40k PSI and assisting with job site preparation.
