Job summary

Clean Harbors in Burlington, ON is hiring entry-level full-time Laborers to support industrial cleaning at refineries, chemicals plants and manufacturing sites. This role emphasizes safety first while performing hands-on labor and rigging equipment as part of day-to-day operations.

The position offers a starting base hourly wage of $25.00 with potential yearly increases, full-time benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Previous manual labor experience required (Industrial or Construction based background considered a strong asset);
• Valid driver’s license;
• Ability to travel 15% of the year, up to 5-10 days at a time for project-based work;
• Ability to work on call for Emergency Response work as required;
• Willing to work indoors/outdoors in all type of weather conditions for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Assisting the Operators in the safe operation of all units;
• Ensuring the job site placement of the unit is safe, stable and secure;
• Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis;
• Rigging equipment in and out;
• General clean up and maintenance of units upon completion of the job;
• Provides high levels of customer service with internal employees and external clients.
