Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking LOCAL Labourers within a 1-hour radius of Sudbury, ON to join our team. You will safely perform labor tasks including confined space entry, rigging, heights work, and high-pressure water blasting up to 40k PSI, with full-time hours and rotating shifts.

We provide on-the-job training, PPE, and a supportive work environment. A Class G driver’s license is required, with potential for a 3-year driving abstract and up to 14-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Class G driver's license required; may need a 3-year driver’s abstract with ≤3 demerits.
• Previous site experience is an asset.
• Must be willing to work in confined spaces and at heights performing labor-intensive tasks.
• Previous vacuum truck and/or high-pressure unit operating experience is an asset.
• Previous labor-intensive experience.
• Safety tickets preferred (e.g., H2S Alive, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space Entry).
• Common Safety Orientation required prior to onboarding.
• Willing to work extended 10-14 hour shifts.
• Flexibility to work day or night shifts as required.
• Mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring Health and Safety is the top priority by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Assisting the Operators in the safe operation of units.
• Ensuring safe, stable, and secure job-site placement of the unit.
• Completing all required paperwork daily.
• Rigging equipment in and out.
• General clean up and maintenance of units after job completion.
• Providing high levels of customer service with internal staff and external clients.
• Performing basic laborer tasks using hand tools and operating equipment; supporting operators.
• Pre/Post trip inspections; risk assessments; setting up equipment; debris removal and site setup.

Clean Harbors is looking for LOCAL Labourers within 1 hour range from the city to join our team in Sudbury ON.

This position requires the candidate to safely perform labor tasks including, but not limited to - confined space entry working in vessels or tanks, rigging in and out, working at heights, high-pressure water blasting up to 40k PSI and assisting with job site preparation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Assisting the Operators in the safe operation of all units;
• Ensuring the job site placement of the unit is safe, stable and secure;
• Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis;
• Rigging equipment in and out;
• General clean up and maintenance of units upon completion of the job;
• Provides high levels of customer service with internal employees and external clients.
• Perform all basic tasks assigned to a laborer including using hand tools (shovel, rake, vacuum hose, and pressure washer), mastering equipment operation, assisting operators with all job duties.
• Pre/Post Trip inspections; performing field level risk assessments; setting up equipment, ensuring proper usage of equipment, performing general duties required to complete work (Debris removal, clean up, set up, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class G Driver's License required;
• May be required to provide a 3-year driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerits.
• Previous site experience is an asset.
• Must be willing to work in Confined Spaces and at heights performing labor-intensive tasks;
• Previous Vacuum Truck and/or High-Pressure unit operating experience is an asset;
• Previous labor-intensive experience;
