Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an Energy Service Tech (Laborer) for our Grande Prairie, AB location to join the Surface Rentals team. The role focuses on maintenance, safety compliance, and field support for solids control equipment, with travel and long hours in remote locations as part of the job.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobilization, rig up/down, documentation, and vehicle maintenance while upholding health and safety standards and working both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
  • Valid CSO, H2S and First Aid tickets are required.
  • Industrial/production services or related background is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 1–4 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies and working safely at all times.
  • Assist with mobilization and maintenance of assets in the field.
  • Support rig up/down of solids control equipment (centrifuges).
  • Assist with tear-out of assets at project completion.
  • Complete documentation: JSA's, work orders, checklists, time entry, logs, inventory.
  • Maintain and operate assigned vehicle per policies.
  • Possible on-call shifts and long hours away from home in remote locations.

Our Grande Prairie, AB location is currently looking for a Energy Service Tech (Laborer) to join our Surface Rentals team.

The General Laborers are responsible for ensuring that the highest quality of maintenance and service is provided while addressing client service concerns relating to equipment within his/her scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • nsures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Assist with the mobilization and maintenance of assets in the field;
  • Assist with rig up and rig down of solids control equipment such as centrifuges;
  • Assist with the tear-out of all assets and equipment at the completion of the project;
  • Complete all documentation required for the work being performed (JSA's, work orders, inspection checklists, time entry, log books (if required), inventory management, journey management);
  • Maintain and operate any assigned vehicle in accordance with Clean Harbors policies and procedures;
  • Ability to work on-call on a rotating basis as scheduled;
  • Washing and servicing of equipment;
  • Ability to work long hours away from home in remote locations.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license is required;
  • Valid CSO, H2S and First Aid ticket;
  • Knowledge and background related to the scope of work (industrial, production services, wellsites, wastewater or remote accommodations);
  • Ability to travel 1- 4 weeks at a time;
  • Good mechanical background with troubleshooting skills is desirable;
  • Excellent attention to detail and well developed organizational skills;
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Flexible, motivated, capable of working in a fast paced, demanding environment and able to respond to change quickly.
