Job summary

Clean Harbors in Burlington, ON is hiring an Entry-level Full Time Laborer to support industrial cleaning at refineries, chemical plants and manufacturing sites. The role emphasizes safety and hands-on tasks as part of a proactive team.

The position offers competitive base hourly wages starting at $25.00 per hour with potential yearly increases, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, RRSP matching and growth opportunities in a supportive environment. Training and paid time off are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous manual labor experience required (Industrial or Construction background considered a strong asset).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel 15% of the year, up to 5-10 days at a time for project-based work.
• Ability to work on call for Emergency Response work as required.
• Willing to work indoors/outdoors in all types of weather conditions for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Assisting the Operators in the safe operation of all units.
• Ensuring the job site placement of the unit is safe, stable and secure.
• Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis.
• Rigging equipment in and out.
• General clean up and maintenance of units upon completion of the job.
• Provides high levels of customer service with internal employees and external clients.
