Transam Carriers in Concord, Ontario, seeks a fleet planner who can manage the weekly plan for all trucks and align capacity across desks. You will reduce empty miles and pre‑plan moves to improve utilization and efficiency.

You will work closely with dispatchers and leverage cross-border experience to anticipate capacity needs and support sales decisions in a cross‑border LTL environment.

Qualifications

• You have planned or dispatched for a fleet and can think in terms of the truck's whole week.
• You can hold a plan in your head across regions and adjust it when the day changes.
• You are numbers-driven — empty miles, revenue per truck per day, utilization.
• Cross-border experience is a strong advantage.
• You can work with dispatchers and earn trust in the plan.

About the role

Transam Carriers runs 120+ trucks out of Concord, Ontario — cross-border LTL and truckload, our own customs desk and cross-dock.

What you would own

• One plan for the whole fleet: where every truck is, when it frees up, and what it does next
• Matching capacity across desks instead of within them — the moves that no single desk can see
• Reducing empty miles and deadhead between regions, and being able to prove it
• Pre-planning the next move before a truck delivers, rather than after
• Flagging where we are short of capacity and where we are long, early enough for sales to act on it

What we are looking for

• You have planned or dispatched for a fleet and can think in terms of the truck's whole week, not the next load
• You can hold a plan in your head across regions and still change it when the day does
• You are numbers-driven — empty miles, revenue per truck per day, utilisation are the language of this job
• Cross-border experience is a strong advantage: border timing changes what is possible
• You can work with dispatchers rather than over them. This role only works if the desks trust the plan

Pay: $62,000/year to start
