Job summary

Transam Carriers is seeking a fleet-planning professional to consolidate visibility across Concord, Ontario, and coordinate cross-border LTL and truckload moves. You will plan for the whole fleet, pre-emptively map the next moves, and work with dispatchers to ensure trusted execution of the global plan.

You will focus on reducing empty miles, optimizing utilization, and ensuring timely capacity across regions, with the ability to adapt as daily conditions change.

Qualifications

• Have planned or dispatched for a fleet and think in terms of the week, not just the next load.
• Can hold a plan across regions and adapt as the day changes.
• Numbers-driven metrics like empty miles and utilisation guide decisions.
• Cross-border experience is a strong advantage for timing and constraints.
• Able to work with dispatchers and earn their trust to execute the plan.

Responsibilities

• One plan for the whole fleet: where every truck is, when it frees up, and what it does next.
• Match capacity across desks to reveal moves not visible to a single desk.
• Reduce empty miles and deadhead between regions and prove it.
• Pre-plan the next move before a truck delivers, not after.
• Flag where capacity is short or long early enough for sales to act.
