Job summary

Cattlemen's Chophouse in Taber, Alberta, is seeking a Restaurant Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare menu items, ensure quality, follow recipes, and maintain cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of cooking experience, a Food Safety certification, and legal ability to work in Canada. We offer full-time and part-time shifts with day, evening, and weekend hours.

  • Food Preparation: Prepare menu items following recipes and presentation standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure food quality and consistency.
  • Menu Compliance: Follow menu specifications and portion sizes.
  • Kitchen Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe work environment, following food safety guidelines.
  • Order Coordination: Work with the team for efficient order preparation.
  • Ingredient Management: Monitor ingredient inventory and report shortages.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate kitchen equipment safely and report issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen team, assist in training as needed.
  • Efficiency and Time Management: Handle high-volume demands during peak hours.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Keep workstations and kitchen clean and organized.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to menu and procedure changes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards through quality checks.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with staff and management.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training.

Salary

$16.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule

8-hour shifts, day, evening, weekends

Requirements
  • 1 year minimum cooking experience,
