Salary

$18.20 per hour, 40 hours per week.

Terms of Employment

Permanent, full time. Shifts include night, day, and weekend.

Education & Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present breakfast items for à la carte and/or buffet service according to recipes and standards.
• Follow all recipes and plating procedures consistently.
• Complete daily prep according to par levels and notify supervisor of shortages.
• Assist with banquet and group breakfast preparation as required.
• Maintain full knowledge of menu items; participate in daily features and promotions.
• Ensure proper food rotation (FIFO), labeling, and dating of all products.
• Receive and properly store deliveries to minimize waste and spoilage.
• Operate and understand POS system, expediting, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, counters, shelves, and work areas.
• Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Assist Sous Chef in training and developing new team members.
• Foster a cooperative team environment within the kitchen and hotel departments.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance (clean uniform, utility hat or hair net, proper work shoes).
• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
