The successful candidate will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations while consistently delivering excellent food and service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and hotel standards.
  • Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies before service.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control standards are consistently maintained.
  • Assist with meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Monitor food inventory and report shortages to the Kitchen Supervisor or Chef.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products following proper procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Support waste reduction and cost-control initiatives.
  • Assist with cleaning and closing duties at the end of each shift.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Line Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards.
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of culinary or line cook experience preferred.
  • Culinary training or certification is considered an asset.
  • Food Handler Certification is considered an asset.
  • Certification required: Smart Serve / Food Safety.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements.
  • Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment with varying temperatures.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
