Work Where You Love to Play! Cypress Mountain, located just 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, is seeking talented Bar Line Cooks to join our vibrant Food & Beverage culinary team. Working at the Crazy Raven Bar and Aguila Cantina, Bar Line Cooks are key players in preparing delicious meals and supporting the daily operations of the kitchen. You’ll collaborate closely with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure food is prepared quickly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to the following):
  1. Prepare a variety of menu items as instructed, ensuring all food is cooked to the required specifications and presented attractively.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bar line, prep stations, and surrounding kitchen environment.
  3. Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards to maintain high-quality food at all times.
  4. Adapt to accommodate customer special requests and dietary restrictions as needed.
  5. Adhere to safety programs and protocols, including safe food handling, sanitation, and health regulations.
  6. Follow new procedures as required.
  7. Assist in managing food inventory, ensuring all ingredients are properly stocked and stored, and alert supervisors to any shortages or issues.
  8. Support all other Cypress Mountain team members in the performance of their duties.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  10. Be courteous towards co-workers and guests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Line Cook.
Qualifications/Competencies
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment; strong knife skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work standing for long periods.
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for people.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in producing high-quality menu items.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification.
